Vendors are the suppliers and subcontractors who price your work. Find them in the sidebar under **Network > Vendors**.

## The Vendors page

Search by name, location, domain or manufacturer, and sort by name, most bids quoted or recently added. Click **Add Vendor** to add one. Click a card to see:

- **Opportunities quoted**: the bids they priced. Use **Add** to link one.
- **Contacts**: add, edit or remove people.
- **Rep manufacturers**: the brands they carry. Search and pickers match on these.
- **Prices**: their price book. Add prices by hand, and prices you apply from quotes land here too.

Only admins can archive a vendor.

## On a bid

The bid's **Vendors** tab lists the suppliers on that job. **Add Vendor** attaches one, and **Request Quote** opens an email composer. With **Broadcast** on, each vendor gets their own personalized copy.

## Request pricing from a budget

1. On a budget, open **Budget actions > Request pricing**. It needs at least one Material assembly.
2. Tick the components you want priced and click **Continue to email**.
3. Pick vendors, review the email and its price table, and send.
4. Tidy files a **Requested** quote for each item and vendor.
5. When a vendor answers, click **Enter price** and type the unit price, lead time and valid-until date. The quote becomes **Quoted**.
6. Click **Apply** to put the price on the component. It also goes into the vendor's price book.

**Add quote manually** records a price you got by phone or email.

> [!note]
> Vendor replies do not flow into Tidy on their own. Someone types the price in, or asks the agent to read the quote and propose it.
